What is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link contains a tracking code which lets UBTrueBlue obtain a commission on the sale of an item if you bought it through one of these links. Does that change the price for you? Absolutely not! Shopping through us will never directly influence price.
Why Do We Use Affiliate Links?
Several reasons, some obvious and others not so obvious.
1. A Better User Experience:
We use affiliate links because we want a way to make sure UBTrueBlue can earn revenue without blasting our users with endless ads. No one likes ads. That is why we only use ads sparingly onsite. To make up for the loss of revenue, we use affiliate links.
2. Better Editorial Integrity
Many websites out there recommend products because brands are paying for it. At UBTrueBlue we will never review or recommend a product from a brand without fully disclosing so. On 99% of our content there are no sponsored links therefore we use affiliate links.
